He also collected four medals at the Panorama competition in British Columbia, Canada last year, which are additions to numerous other high-profile medals and awards he’s won over the years in locations across the planet. The young championship skier who started out dry skiing and first ventured onto snowy slopes in 2000 has come a long way in the past ten years, and over that time has caught the attention of some of the best coaches and analysts in the sport, along with the press. He is a warrior when it comes to dealing with injury, blinding runs, frigid temps and iced-over goggles, and won’t let anything stop him from succeeding. After high hopes of getting a spot at the Vancouver Games, he just barely missed his chance of qualifying at the World Junior Championships this month in France. Although, amazingly enough he was still able to come away with the best result in any event by a male from the UK in 30 years, and also set his own personal record for FIS points in Downhill. Now TJ has his sights set on being able to shine in the next Olympics, and other major events as well.As for now, he is headed back to Austria to start the Europa cup race programme again. He is continually looking to improve his own scores and keep winning big, and Slalom specifically is the next event that he aims to master. “There is still a lot more to come in Slalom. I know I can go faster and reduce my points and world rankings more,” he said. And a few more words from TJ: “I would really like to thank Skyscanner for starting to sponsor me again this year. Their financial help is much appreciated and will help pay for my entry to the World Junior Championships. They are the best and easiest to use flight search website. As we have to travel a lot I know of many other skiers who use them all the time.”There are certainly many more great things to come from TJ, and we can all hopefully look forward to seeing him tear up the hills in Sochi in 2014.To keep up with TJ’s latest accomplishments and to learn more about this ultra-talented athlete, check out his website at http://tj-ski.com.ReturnOne wayMulti-cityFromAdd nearby airports ToAdd nearby airportsDepart14/08/2019Return21/08/2019Cabin Class & Travellers1 adult, EconomyDirect flights onlySearch flights Maplast_img
